HOW TO SURRENDER TO GOD: Devotional or Bhakti Path

Doing the following will help you connect to the Universe/God and become aware of its existence, beginning a communation between you, your inner self, the rest of creation and God.

Most problems in out life are not only a result of our past karma, but also a result of us interfering with the Cosmic Will and hence getting thrown off course and we are unable to flow freely in our daily lives. Once you surrender to the Universe/Cosmos, even if your past karma is very bad, the negative  impact it has in your life will lessen an you will begin to unwind the spindle of karma that holds the soul, faster than ever before.

METHOD 1: As soon as you get up each morning(just before or just at opening your eyes) and just before you sleep at night (as you close your eyes) say " i love you God"(in the mind or out loud)"OR "God, i surrender to you!"

METHOD 2: During random moments of the day, repeatedly say in your mind " i love you God"(in the mind or out loud)"OR "God, i surrender to you!"

METHOD 3: Stand on a mountain/ desert/ sea side/ in your room/ anywhere that you feel like- and SHOUT OUT LOUD repeatedly till you feel like " i love you God"(in the mind or out loud)"OR "God, i surrender to you!"  Warning: Doing this in public might lead people to think you are mentally unstable, hence you might want to do this when alone. In addition, if you are by yourself, you are more likely to be genuine and free.

METHOD 4: Sit comfortably, anywhere/any how, but in complete silence and all by yourself and constantly repeat out loud or in the mind " i love you God"(in the mind or out loud)"OR "God, i surrender to you!"  Do this daily or as often as possible and for as long as possible. The greater the frequency and duration, the greater will be the result.

METHOD 5: As you are about to sleep, visualize that you are sleeping in the lap of you favorite God or Godess who is putting you to sleep as does a loving mother/father/sibling/friend/lover, and drift into sleep.

METHOD 6: Each thing you do during the day, Dedicate to God. No matter how mundane and irrespective of morality.

METHOD 7: Think of person towards whom you have the most unconditional love. Now think of God in the same manner, all the time.

METHOD 8: Sing songs of devotion or love totally freely, and without being concerned of how you are sounding. Even if you sound horrible, don't worry. Each time you do this, you are emitting a beautiful vibration, which is what God is tuned into and loves to feel and not the quality of your voice.

METHOD 9: Think of each person, animal, creature, the earth, and all things living and non living (by definition of science) as God.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Notes
PURITY OF HEART, BELIEF AND SINCERITY IS THE KEY! Be as genuine and sincere as possible. The best way to do this is: Not to think about it and just do it with NO EXPECTATIONS or ASSUMPTIONS.
This is the simplest and least dangerous method to God Realization.
Results may vary from person to person. Some may see results immediately, while others may take a bit longer, but remember that as each day passes, your chances are higher than the day before, and whether you realize it or not, it is working.

Benefits of Fenugreek/Methi Seeds

What is Fenugreek?

Fenugreek (also known as Greek Hay and Fenigreek), is an herb that is commonly found growing in the Mediterranean region of the world. While the seeds and leaves are primarily used as a culinary spice, it is also used to treat a variety of health problems in Egypt, Greece, Italy, and South Asia.

Fenugreek seeds have been found to contain protein, vitamin C, niacin, potassium, and diosgenin (which is a compound that has properties similar to estrogen). Other active constituents in fenugreek are alkaloids, lysine and L-tryptophan, as well as steroidal saponins (diosgenin, yamogenin, tigogenin, and neotigogenin).

What are the Benefits of Fenugreek?

Due to its estrogen-like properties, fenugreek has been found to help increase libido and lessen the effect of hot flashes and mood fluctuations that are common symptoms of menopause and PMS. In India and China it has also been used to treat arthritis, asthma, bronchitis, improve digestion, maintain a healthy metabolism, increase libido and male potency, cure skin problems (wounds, rashes and boils), treat sore throat, and cure acid reflux. Fenugreek also has a long history of use for the treatment of reproductive disorders, to induce labor, to treat hormonal disorders, to help with breast enlargement, and to reduce menstrual pain. Recent studies have shown that Fenugreek helps lower blood glucose and cholestrol levels, and may be an effective treatment for both type 1 and 2 diabetes. Fenugreek is also being studied for its cardiovascular benefits.

Right to Copy

All creativity stems from the same source. Ideas and creativity are manifestations of the universal consciousness, through our individual consciousness, which is not separate from the universal consciousness.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Creative ideas are like a pool of water. We all drink from it. Just because you fill up your own bottles, doesn't mean you can claim that that water belongs to ONLY to us. It belongs to all who are thirsty, and none can stake an individual claim on it. It's meant to be shared. So, if someone takes your idea, take it as a compliment, but he/she also has the duty to share the fruits borne from this sharing, as you are the original source of manifestation. Though you will reap the fruits karmically, irrespectively

Miraculous Healing

Any physical injury, disease or physical manifestation of bad karma can be cured by clearing blocks in the rivers of energy, that are our subtle body. Just like our flesh, muscolo-sceletular structure, circulatory system and nervous system- are part of our physical body,- Naadis, chakras, and other energy centers and energies flow like rivers; and are encompassed in the aura the core of which is our soul,--- This is our Subtle Body or Energy body. Hence, by clearing blocks or by restoring the flow of the energies and energy centers of the subtle body, great healing can take place, as the cleansing of the subtle body can give miraculous results on the physical body.Spiritual evolution and physical healing will happen as a result if it.

The Law of Possibility
There is no such thing as impossible. In fact, it is quite stupid to things as possible and impossible. There is more to it, and it is not just black, white or grey, but it is coloured in the spectrum of Light.

Hence, apart from the impossible and possible, there is also the Unnecessary. So things many things might not happen, because it is simply unnecessary. In a way, its got nothing to do with possibility

The Practice of Yoga by Fra.Veos

Hatha Yoga is the art of uniting(Yoga) the Sun and the Moon (Ha-Tha). The primary school of thought in Yoga is called the Sankhya Philosophy. Founded by Adi Shankara, the Sankhya school of thought revolves around Shiva and the symbolism of his mythology. Shiva is seen, like in Kashmir Shivaisim, to be Brahman. Brahman is the one undivided God who is in the form of Satchidananda (existence, knowledge and bliss) which is true consciousness in the highest sense. Seeing as how the primary aim of this article is in teaching the practice of Yoga, I will not spend too long on the theory, but some basic understanding of it will nonetheless help the Aspirant in its practice. The religious preference of the Aspirant will also not effect the practice of Yoga very much, but I am presenting Yoga here as it is traditionally taught without the new-age influences that have infected it since it came to the West at the turn of the 20th century with Swami Vivekananda and Paramahamsa Yogananda. As such, all the religious terminology will be Sanskrit words pertaining to the Sankhya philosophy and I will try to define any sanskrit word I use in parenthesis for the reader.

In the Sankhya philosophy, mankind lives in material world trapped in the illusion of Maya. Maya is the “illusion power” cast by Shakti (feminine principle of the universe) which allows us to identify our Self with our physical body and its lower desires. It is the illusion that sensual pleasure brings happiness and indulgence brings wealth. But what keeps us in this Maya? Why do we stay in it? It is Karma. Most people know that Karma is the law of cause and effect. In hindu and yogic philosophy, the soul is seen as being “caught” in a wheel of life, death and reincarnation called Samsara, and it is the glue of Karma which binds us to this wheel. The Yogi strives to reach “Moksha” (liberation) from the fetters of Maya with the practice of Yoga. By the restraint of the mind and desires, the Yogi crosses the ocean of Samsara in the boat of Sadhana (spiritual practice). He becomes a God-Man. He walks in the material world but is not “in” this world or “of” it. He can move without creating Karma. He dissolves his Karma in the fire of Sadhana and in the deepest states of Samadhi (spiritual ecstasy in God-Union). He is called a Jivan-Mukta (liberated soul) while still alive.

The practice of Yoga is the expansion of the individual consciousness (Atman) into God’s consciousness (Purusha or Paratman). This is done primarily in one way: the raising of the Kundalini.

Kundalini:
Kundalini is Parvati, Shiva’s consort. She is his Shakti (feminine principle or counter-part) in the form of creative energy and is represented as a snake coiled up at the base of the spine in the Yogi. Through rigorous Sadhana this serpent must be straightened out and forced into the mouth of Sushumna and guided through each chakra on its ascent up the spine into the head. While I could write for much longer and in much more detail about what the Kundalini actually is, that is not the purpose of this article right now. The beginner will discover many things about the essence of the kundalini with good Sadhana.

Science, Knowledge and Yoga

It is amazing how much Western science has taught us. Today, for example, kids in grammar school learn that the sun is 93 million miles from the earth and that the speed of light is 186,000 miles per second. Yoga may teach us about our Higher Self, but it can't supply this kind of information about physics or astronomy.

Or can it? Professor Subhash Kak of Louisiana State University recently called my attention to a remarkable statement by Sayana, a fourteenth century Indian scholar. In his commentary on a hymn in the Rig Veda, the oldest and perhaps most mystical text ever composed in India, Sayana has this to say: "With deep respect, I bow to the sun, who travels 2,202 yojanas in half a nimesha."

A yojana is about nine American miles; a nimesha is 16/75 of a second. Mathematically challenged readers, get out your calculators!

2,202 yojanas x 9 miles x 75/8 nimeshas = 185,794 m. p. s.

Basically, Sayana is saying that sunlight travels at 186,000 miles per second! How could a Vedic scholar who died in 1387 A. D. have known the correct figure for the speed of light? If this was just a wild guess it's the most amazing coincidence in the history of science!

The yoga tradition is full of such so called coincidences. Take for instance the mala many yoga students wear around their neck. Since these rosaries are used to keep track of the number of mantras a person is repeating, students often ask why they have 108 beads instead of 100. Part of the reason is that the mala represent the ecliptic, the path of the sun and moon across the sky. Yogis divide the ecliptic into 27 equal sections called nakshatras, and each of these into four equal sectors called paadas, or "steps," marking the 108 steps that the sun and moon take through heaven.

Each is associated with a particular blessing force, with which you align yourself as you turn the beads.

Traditionally, yoga students stop at the 109th "guru bead," flip the mala around in their hand, and continue reciting their mantra as they move backward through the beads. The guru bead represents the summer and winter solstices, when the sun appears to stop in its course and reverse directions. In the yoga tradition we learn that we're deeply interconnected with all of nature. Using a mala is a symbolic way of connecting ourselves with the cosmic cycles governing our universe.

But Professor Kak points out yet another coincidence: The distance between the earth and the sun is approximately 108 times the sun's diameter. The diameter of the sun is about 108 times the earth's diameter. And the distance between the earth and the moon is 108 times the moon's diameter.

Easy TRAIN MEDITATION

By Utkarsh Sanjanwala

In Bhaag Daud of Mumbai, we are always on the go, running constantly from Point A to Point B, from one purpose to the other, never resting our minds. We hustle to reach work and hurry back home and to our family or personl lives. In all this we have LITTLE OR NO TIME FOR OURSELVES. Ask your self How much time do i spend, completely alone, all by myself, completely with myself, vin a day?

THE TRAIN JOURNEY TO WORK OR BACK HOME CAN NOW BE
DE-STRESSING • RELAXING • REJUVINATING

HOW TO DO IT?

• Find a comfortable place to sit in the Compartment
• This can also be done if you’re standing: Taking back rest will
make life easier, so don’t hesitate to do so.
• MUSIC: Use ipod/phone/mp3 player
This will help you block out the outside world.
Use soothing music. You want to use music that relaxes NOT
depressing/emotionally charged/ memory related.
• KEEP PHONE ON SILENT.
• Close your eyes: DO NOT OPEN them till the end of the practice
• Sit comfortably: Back and neck straight.
• Be completely still.
• Interlock your fingers and let them rest in your lap in a
relaxed manner.
• Imagine your spine to be a straight column, starting at the base
of the spine and ending at the back of your neck, directly behing your
eyebrow centre.
• Bring awareness to your breath
• Be a witness to your own breath. Don’t try and control it.
OBSERVE ITS RYTHM AND RYTHMIC CHANGES.

The Law Of Karma

By Sri Swami Sivananda

What Is Karma?

Karma means not only action, but also the result of an action. The consequence of an action is really not a separate thing. It is a part of the action, and cannot be divided from it. Breathing, thinking, talking, seeing, hearing, eating, etc., are Karmas. Thinking is mental Karma. Karma is the sum total of our acts both in the present life and in the preceding births.

Any deed, any thought that causes an effect, is called a Karma. The Law of Karma means the law of causation. Wherever there is a cause, there an effect must be produced. A seed is a cause for the tree which is the effect. The tree produces seeds and becomes the cause for the seeds.

Earth peace through self peace: Full Meditation by Yogiraj

The Earth Peace Through Self Peace Full Moon Meditation (new version) of Hamsa Yoga Sangh. The Nad Bramha. Taken from the Martanda Yoga of Gorakshanath - The Mahavatar Babaji paramguru of the Kriya Yoga tradition. This tradition has its roots in the eternal Himalayan Sanatana Dharma enlivened by the immortal Babaji. Yogiraj is an illumined living master and solar seer. He helps sincere practitioners of yogic meditation awaken to higher levels of consciousness through chakra awakening/activation and practices of Himalayan yoga. Yogiraj teaches yogic meditation for the evolution of human consciousness. These perennial practices of yoga are the most ancient closely guarded sacred practices of the Himalayan yogis and masters from time immemorial. They help the practitioner gradually transform him/herself into the likeness of his/her own divinity. This ancient art and science has been a way of life for rare yogis and ascetics of India and abroad who have sacrificed everything in the search for their own inner Truth, their inner Godessence. Today, Yogiraj demonstrates in his own life and livingness, that powerful spiritual practice can be integrated with family life and a career. By the blessings of Babaji, Yogiraj teaches these techniques, which he collectively calls The Alchemy of Total Transformation to sincere seekers throughout the world, who wish to integrate these practices into their daily life, without the necessity of giving up worldly pursuits. These techniques are called: 1. Kundalini Kriya Yoga (N.B., the exact same kundalini kriya originally given to Lahiri Mahasaya in the 19th century) 2. Siddhanath Surya Yoga - A dynamic osmosis of solar healing. Pranic healing with solar power. 3. Siddhanath Hamsa Yoga - The Way of the White Swan.

Diving into the Ocean of the Cosmos

Your being is just like the sea. Seemingly endless, inconceivably deep, and merging into the larger Oceans of the Cosmos. The waves might seem perilous from the shores, especially in the monsoon of life, when they rise and fall like giants, crushing even the hardest stone, creating a beach flooded by the sands of time. So awesome and powerful is the tide, that one cant help but quiver as it threatens to engulf everything in its tidal pandemonium. But the sea of the self, merges into the Ocean of the Cosmos, and only those that dare to dive into its depths realize the tranquility that sits in its infinite depths. Down here, it churns the entire ocean using warm and cool currents, sustaining all of existence. It passifies even the massive fires that sprout from the belly of the Earth, transforming it into lands that flourish and resonate with life.

In its dark tranquil depths, it performs the divine dance of creation that stimulates and vibrates all particles into the cosmos. Whales sing with ecstasy as they dive into its depths, diving deeper and longer each time, always returning for more, for another taste of its divine bliss. For the whales were once creatures of the land, but their wisdom helped them transcend the chaotic waves of the stormy sea, as they marched through evolution towards the call they heard so longingly for centuries, rising from the depths within. Now they dwell for ever, in the infinite depths, surfing its currents, drunk on its nectar, singing songs of bliss that resonate for hundreds of miles.

The hardest part for us standing at shore, is to over come the fear of these treacherous waves. But the seasons of life change, and one day, you will stand at the calm shores of realization. In that moment, fear not the impressions of the stormy past. Walk boldly and fearlessly into it as the sea gently washes your feet with its ebb and flow, saluting the divinity that dwells within you; inviting you to come and taste its sweetness. Embrace it like you would your long lost lover, for even the rage of an angry Earth melts at the compassionate embrace of love. Such is the power of love. For love seeks not to conquer; but to embrace, and merge; all into one, one into all, and that is the nature of the Universe itself.

What are The Chakras

How to induce Meditation

Tuning the body and mid with different Yoga asanas and pranayama will help induce this state of meditation, making it easier for us to connect to the Universe.

Breath awareness is the key that unlocks the doorway to the secrets and mysteries of the Universe that have so long been hidden from us.

This can be done by any one, at any age, in any state of Mind, anywhere, anytime.

If fear and uncertainty haunts you, then just before you begin, ask the spirits/universe/god/gardian angel; any higher force that you believe in to protect you. Rest assure, no harm will come.

WHAT IS A YANTRA/MANDALA DIAGRAM?

If you are the kind of person who strongly stands by the “Seeing is believing” policy, Yantra/Mandala is for you. Our intellectual mind has several notions and assumptions of how our world and cosmos is. These notions are born of the seed of information that is stamped upon our brain since the time we are born. From the first syllable we speak, to the knowledge we receive in our schools, we are constantly prompted and directed towards a reality and existence as seen by our significant others and teachers and tutors who shape our perspective and define our thought process through a constant assault of their behaviour, ideas, concepts, philosophy and religion, amongst other things.

As a young adolescent, growing up in this sort of an environment can be tough. It is a time of great hormonal and hormonal changes are accompanied and effected by changes in our subtle body.. i.e… the Naadis, Chakras, thoughts and other subtle energies of are body. At this time one’s inner self is aware of the fact that there is something missing in the picture that is being portrayed to us. Unable to gather what it is, exhausted by the bipolar floods of emotion and energy around the spindle of our budding consciousness, we grow rebellious and disgruntled, as if we are being cheated of that which is our birth right. This manifests in the various behavioural patterns that teenagers have

infamously been labelled for. To blame this only on the hormones or the stress full situations of growing up or just these two, is quite stupid. For aggressive questioning is one of the strongest tools on the path of spiritual evolution. It is something that nature is ingrained in our seed so that we rise beyond the mundane, and begin to discover “The Truth”. So, if one’s intellect is constantly questioning the validity of a higher force that functions within and without us ( which includes our so called mundane lives), we are much closer to perceiving “The Truth” than we were before. For our intellect, like a sculptor labouring over a stone, hammers out the excess fossil, to reveal the infinite beauty that lies within.

But this kind of hammering can be stressful, leading to exhaustion and fractures within our mind, that need tender love and affection to heal. (Perhaps this is also why we tend to find love in this part of our journey.) What if someone told you that it was all unnecessary and can be bypassed. Though debate is integral in understanding, to constantly dwell in that state of mind can’t be healthy. It leads to angst and frustration. Especially in our spiritual journey. So, if you are frolicking in the waves of evolution on the sands of time, scratching your head saying “there is something, but not “This” or not “That”, let me tell you, you are right. If the above strikes in you a familiar chord or vibration in you, then Yantra/Madala can be a helpful tool in providing some relief. Some kind of proof from beyond the mind.

So what is a Yantra or a mandala? How does it work? How do you use it? Blaaa blaa blaa!

If you really want to know what it is, don’t google the meaning, don’t ask someone about it. You will only get second hand information (that can be very good and helpful at times), that will clear away like a cloud when you experience the real thing.

Simply do an image search for “Yantra” or “Mandala”on Google. Pick any or many of the images you like, feel curious about or attracted to. Save it on your computer, and then view one at a time on the full screen/slideshow option (preferably on a black background). Make sure you do this when you are all by yourself and don’t allow anyone or anything to disturb you. Say “OM” 3 times with your eyes closed and now gaze with fixed focus at the POINT at the centre of the diagram, and when you’re eyes are tired, just close them for a prolonged period of time (at least 20-30 seconds, more could be better) till you feel they are rested and resume again. You can also simply look at the whole diagram of let your eyes wander through its different patterns or the objects shown there in. Don’t make too much effort. Just chill out and simply look at it. Do this for about half an hour daily. (Music that makes you comfortable of relaxed could p

rove to be handy, though might distract some people, in which case silence is the best..) Some Mandalas/Yantras come with mantras accompanying them. Reciting these audibly a few times (at lest try 3) will definitely help in the process.

If this sounds too easy or stupid, it’s probably coz it is. If nothing this will improve your concentration and I must say, it’s quite Trippy!

Why one should be free in sharing spiritual information/knowledge/evolution

The amount you help someone in their spiritual evolution, is the amount of help you will receive in yours. Therefore, by sharing, you are increasing the amount of help you receive. Also you are creating a larger network people who are awakening/evolving and therefore creating a stronger global consciousness, hence not only making the entire process faster, but also making it easier for people to evolve. A stronger global consciousness is also a growing global consciousness. Thereby through the domino effect of karma, the spiritual evolution of the earth will be jump started. Then the wheels of causation will take over and propel it into a pace that constantly grows and multiplies.
